Now Showing - Predator

I am watching this right now and I am pleasantly surprised at how well it holds up after all these years. It is a terrific adventure story with great characters and a creature with a heart as dark as anything man could invent. For trivia buffs, two of the actors went on to become Governors of American states (Arnie in California of course and Jesse in Minnesota - Bill Duke ran but lost in his bid in Georgia)

I enjoyed the remake that came out a few months ago. The concept is so strong that it can survive many different situations and settings. Even the comics by publisher Dark Horse are good.

Great movie. It's too bad they all get killed off so fast. I wonder if Carl Weathers ever feels pressure to run for governor so he's not left out.

Might I recommend Predator: Forever Midnight. Not a bad book.

I really liked this one also.
I don't know if you saw the movie "Apocalypto" or not, but the final showdown sequences were amazingly similar to the same scenes in Predator...

I always forget to download Apocalypto because I have heard good things about it. Despite the fact that bat shit crazy Mel Gibson made it, I know I would find it interesting.

I like the movie, but am I the only one who keeps expecting Marty McFly to fly in with his Delorean? The soundtrack is SO similar, it practically ruins the entire movie for me. (Same composer, similar score.) :(
