Charlotte Rampling (45 Years) has joined the cast of Legendary’s Dune adaptation. Rampling will portray Reverend Mother Mohaim, the emperor’s truthsayer.
Rampling joins the previously cast Timothée Chalamet (Paul Atreides), Rebecca Ferguson (Lady Jessica), Dave Bautista (”Beast” Rabban), and Stellan Skarsgård (Baron Harkonnen). Denis Villeneuve is directing.
The Hollywood Reporter broke the news.

Mohiam takes an interest in Jessica’s son Paul Atreides (Timothee Chalamet). In an iconic scene from the book, Mohiam takes it upon herself to test Paul to determine if he is the Kwisatz Haderach. His mother’s teachings and his knowledge of worldly things impress the Reverend mother enough for her to consider him a potential messiah.
The Reverend Mother also works closely with the Emperor Shaddam IV as his truth-sayer. He often uses her when speaking to leaders of other factions. They have similar interests and yet do not trust one another.

They are certainly lining up a stellar cast for this movie!
Mabye the director read the book this time.
waiting for them to announce Benedict Cumberbatch as the voice of the navigator...
:)
ooooooo that would be good. I am waiting for a good Gurney. I SO WANT PATRICK STEWARD.
"Arrakis is real. The Harkonnens are real."
I imagined Nick Offerman (not Ron Swanson) as Gurney.
Really looking forward to this, thank you for turning me on to this world.
