As a kid I would look for signs like this to decide if this was the motel I wanted our family to stay at. They KNEW how to attract the children. If they also had a pool I would have screamed until my Dad turned the car around no matter how many hours we had driven past the place.

I remember as a kid driving by this motel in New Brunswick that had this giant potato in the front. They had a pool too (outdoor). Problem was it was always in the middle of the day we passed the motel.
Great memories. ;)
They changed the highways in the province now completely bypassing all this so its just a boring track of 4 lane highway like the 401.
That would be one lonely potato if it even still exists today. I love looking at pictures of those old motel signs. They were works of art; goofy but cool at the same time.
I really miss that stuff. There were lots of motels and other architecture that was fun back then. Tiki bars and the Jolly Rodger Motel. Take me back, please.
I remember that place, it was in Vernal, Utah if I remember right.
Now that is too funny. Small world.
