Gun Porn For My Gun Loving Buddies

You can never have a big enough gun for some people.

"This whopping handgun, called "The Judge," has been designed to fire shotgun shells. Taurus, who briefly imported the gun from Brazil, has withdrawn it from sale following a visit from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. According to Neatorama, "The Judge shoots .410 gauge shells as well as .45 Long Colt cartridges. 'The Raging Judge', pictured above, goes even further in this approach, firing the much larger 28 gauge shell."

I can only imagine Hellboy using such a gun.

As a movie prop, yes. As a weapon in the hands one anything other than a demon from hell? No

My dad used to say "Las pistolas las carga el diablo y las dispara la mujer", which roughly translates to "
Guns are worn by the devil and shot by women".

Ugh... the Raging Judge is one of those revolvers that looks good in one's imagination - but in practice is too impractical. I've shot a 20 guage pistol before, and it is not pleasant. Its like getting hit in the wrist with a baseball bat. 28 guage doesn't even sound like something I would be interested in giving a try.

The Judge itself is one of Taurus's best selling handguns, though, and isn't being pulled from sale to my knowledge. The .410/45 LC version is pleasant to shoot and is available in several variations of barrel length and finish. The only drawback to it is the fact that .45 Long Colt is an expensive, difficult to find ammo. That's why I've successfully discouraged my Wife from getting one, cuz she wants one badly. The popularity of the Judge has driven prices up for the 45 LC cartridge.

Smith & Wesson is even coming out with a similar revolver to try and snag some of the market, called "The Governor". Its price is too high though, in my opinon, to make it any serious competition for The Judge.

It's called The Judge? Seriously? This thing looks like it comes from Mega City One not Brazil!

I wouldn't mind shooting it, but I wouldn't want to have to pack it around. That monstrosity probably weighs more than some of my rifles.
