One Of My Favorite Paintings

I have this framed poster in the basement. I love the way it mythologizes the dream and potential of America.

I love this one too.

Plus, George had some mad balancing skills.

Brother George was a mad pimp. I love the story about how at first he agreed to be President only for expenses but after they found out how much he spent on shit they insisted he take a salary. Plus unlike anyone of his time he had a modern understanding of the media.

I loved the movie that starred Jeff Daniels as George.

It kind of makes me sad, given this country's demise.

I wish the tea baggers who claim to love the 'founders' so much would actually try to live UP to their example and not down to it. Sure they were horndogs and slave owners and effite dandies but they were very enlightened for their time. The 'founders' would be horrified to see how their names have been taken in vain by just the kind of people they would NEVER have anything to do with.
