Tarsands

This excellent piece of animation explains all about the oil under my province of Alberta and how difficult and environmentally damaging it would be to get at it. Although it is a source of great wealth for Alberta and Canada, most of us would prefer the development of technologies that don't run on fossil fuels like solar and wind power. That way the oil can stay right where it is and we can avoid the detrimental effects its removal would create.
