The Airing of the Grievances 4

Sophie of 'Big Brother UK' is a pretty girl with nice fake boobies but when she has to ask how clouds are made and why she can't touch them I gotta call 'Stupid'. I mean tragic level of stupid. I know you don't pick contestants for their brains necessarily but when Jordan on 'Big Brother US' doesn't know that a quarter hour is fifteen minutes (and she is a pretty blonde girl) then I am sensing a trend here. How do people like that even get through school??? ONCE I would like to see pretty, smart and funny in one package (well, aside from myself) although I know the Universe doesn't parcel out gifts in that that measure.


I enjoyed 'Inglorious Basterds' alot. But when I came home and tried to download at least a cam copy with English subtitles it was next to impossible and still is four days later. However, if I want a pristine copy of 'G-Force (with those stupid talking guinea pigs) then I am stinky with them.

Embedded videos are killing me these days. You would think that trying to add a song to my blog that was popular in 1980 (???) would not be 'DENIED BY REQUEST'. I speak of The Clash and 'Rock the Casbah'. I could settle for a fan film but the video is so good with it's pro Arab/Israeli vibe. Why deny someone's ability to share once it goes up? 'You Tube' just seems to be such pussies these days and they are the pre-eminent 'go to' side for video footage. Anytime something happens in the world that is captured by a camera on a cell phone they get the footage. News networks have to go to them. Throw us little people a bone here. We need your resource to enhance our work. You can only benefit from that.


The same thing happened to my posting of the new 'Wolf Man' video. At first I could show it but then it was 'DENIED BY REQUEST'. You would think that filmmakers and film studios would want their trailers to be disseminated as far and wide as they could get them. Maybe catch those who did not know or were not interested initially in this production.


In Canada we have a particularly annoying problem with even SEEING content on sites such as 'Hulu', 'NBC' and 'Comedy Central'. Canada (and I suspect many other nations if not all other) are locked out. If Americans can watch free content on these sites then its fair that everyone should. Samurai Frog had a good point. We are advertising content and product for FREE. When has free publicity ever been a bad thing? I assume the inability to control the message (especially if the clips are used to critique something harshly) is one of the main motivators of this policy.
